So I want to begin with asking you the question are you saved- That is do you know Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior- This should be a very easy question to answer. If that is you understand that there are no degrees of salvation. No you cannot be almost saved or 30, 50 even 75- saved it is a simple yes I am 100- saved or you yes are 100- percent lost. If you find yourself answering that question I think I am saved there is likely a problem, you can know that you know that you know that you are saved without a shadow of a doubt. Listen if you have come to Christ then you have allowed Christ into you- You are made a new- As I studied for this message this week the song different came on the radio. This expresses the true heart of the one who lives to serve the Lord, the one who lives to be different.--Here-s a verse of that song.--I dont wanna spend my life, stuck in a pattern And I don't wanna gain this world but lose what matters And so I'm giving up, everything because I wanna be different I wanna be changed 'Til all of me is gone And all that remains Is a fire so bright The whole world can see That there's something different so come and be different in me.--I think this song really hits the mark of what being different is truly about. How being different is what we should desire. Do you think that you are living different than that old self you old nature- Have you really let Christ in and opened the door, have you ask Him to change you- You know Being Different, being changed is one of the biggest problems we have in the flesh.

We have been looking at David and the Psalms as to attempt to allow David to show us how with right motivations and a correct attitude to God and the ways of God that we should clearly see Him as we need to see Him. Remember how David in Psalm 62 called out the promise of Gods protection and deliverance from those who sought to bring harm unto the child of God. Do you remember how David wrapped that in praise and worship unto the Lord our God- Then in Psalm 63 David sets up to display his attitude towards God as being one who desired to consistently be found in the presence of the Lord. David had a desire to be in the Lords presence. Why, because David knew that the provision and protection would be found by those who diligently sought to live and serve in obedience and service to the Lord.--Well today we will jump over to Solomon and the proverbs. Do you understand who Solomon was- Solomon was one of David-s Sons not his oldest son but the Son who God would instruct David as the one who would inherit the throne after him.--Look with me at 1 Chronicles 22-7-10 as we see how David describes this event to Solomon. Remember this as we will see in again in Solomon-s writings.

This message titled life obstacles could be called faith obstacles just as easily. In truth I hope that we can recognize life-s obstacles as test of our faith. With that said I hope that you are able to make connections as to how our adversary Satan troughs out many obstacles in our life. What we should be able to see is that these obstacles are meant to keep us from getting fully into Gods plan for our lives. These obstacles however large they may appear are truly no match for the God in which we serve, as I hope we see in our message today. So do you experience life obstacles- You just said yes of course I do. Right- Have you connected these obstacles with things which are intended to distract you form the very things God is doing in your life- Have you been able to say to yourself or even others that these obstacles where simply a test of your faith- Or did you miss that factor entirely- Have to been able to hold to the faith in our Lord and see how God brings even those seemingly high mountains down to their knees before you as you claim victory of the obstacles in life by the power and might of our God- Have you been able to recognize how faith and obedience play a very big part in overcoming life-s obstacles-

As we looked last week at David-s desire to seek the Lord that he the Lord our God is sufficient to bring us through all of the storms we shall face in life. David therefore exalted the Lord and lifted his voice to praise Him in that Psalm while showing how much he himself trusted in the hand of the Lord to rein over him. Today as we continue into Psalm 63 David shares with us the attitude that we should see in him and likewise that we should display in even our very own lives as we tread through the streets of this land in which we live. So as we first look at the scriptures of Psalm 63 I ask that you consider to yourself, how do I and my attitude towards God compare with that of David.--So I wonder how often we can earnestly say that we find ourselves expressing the kind of loving attitude towards the Lord our God that we can see David expressing here in this Psalm. It is so clear here that David is seeking to be found in the divine presence of the Lord our God. David makes it clear also that he remembers the power of God all while again pointing out that those who shall rise against Gods children shall have the hand of the Lord to deal with.

This past Wednesday evening we began a short study dealing with resisting temptation. This coming Wednesday we shall conclude that study. Yet today the message I was lead to can have some ties to the temptations in which we face. We will look at David in Psalm 62 as he describes unto us his rock. David is facing trials from his adversary as he writes this Psalm but it is plainly clear that he maintains one primary focus. One of the points we have been strongly making as a necessity as part of our arsenal for resisting temptation is the knowledge of scripture. That can be seen here very clearly as David in this Psalm directs us to keep our focus on God. It should be clear to us that David is directing us as to what God would have him do, trusting and waiting on Devine timing. Which is not what common man would do.--So the first questions for you to consider this morning are what do you expect to bring you through the storm- Where do you look for shelter in the time of the storm- Do you seek shelter as your begin to see the storm clouds rolling in- Where is it that you find your safety and shelter in the midst of the storm- What will move you from you place of protection- What will you do when the lighting begins to strike- Will you remain unmoved during the time of turbulence as the wind kicks up- As the waters rise around you where will you find higher ground-

I do what to say thank you to all mothers though. Who have been willing to give life to children and even more who have been willing to lead those children into the hands of the Lord by bringing them to church, involving them in ministry events, having them in Sunday school, listing to Christian music before them- Using language in front of them that is honoring to God. Preparing them for the time in which the must make their own decisions. Decisions to please the Lord with the way the live or follow the world. What we see as a most excellent woman, a loving mother who demonstrates both spiritual and practical wisdom along with an impeccable moral character. This is a for the mother who lives her life before her children and her husband as one who is in Sharpe contrast to that woman who lives of immoral values and customs. This is where those who see you learn to make right and moral decisions. --What we are looking at is a women of impeccable taste to the God pleasing life style. What we are seeking to find is the most excellent wife one who makes the most honoring mother. Let-s see how she is defined.
