Ask yourself now what am I doing to multiply the body of Christ---What comes to your mind when you think of heaven- What do you expect heaven will be like- Do you know that in the King James Bible Heaven or some variation of the word such as Heavenly is found 739 times. Accepting that Heaven is real is a must for all believers. Expressing our desire for heaven so that others see that we trust and believe that heaven is real, and that someday it will be our eternal home can play an important part in reaching those who may not find it so easy to have that same trust or relationship with God. What do you know about Heaven- What do you believe about heaven- Where do you go to find out about heaven- Well if you are moving to a new place you would normally go and check it out right- Looking a buying a house you go and see it. Well we can-t just get in our cars and run down to see what heaven is like but God has given us His word the Bible that we may get a glimpse of just what heaven may be like. Yet what we should find the most important is that He has a place prepared for all who will call Him Lord and savior, all who will believe in Christ Jesus. One day we all will move on from this earthly life to a place where God has prepared a city on a hill.

Who can say that I see how God is working though the things that surround me in my life to impact my life for His glory- How many of you say to yourself I wish I could see the impact of God on my life- Do you understand the impact made on your life by God through the saving power He made available unto you through Jesus Christ- Do you ever find yourself in a situation that could have you taking for granted just what God has made available to us through Jesus- I would have to say that the most powerful and wonderful impact God can make upon our lives is the impact made that leads one to salvation in Jesus Christ. That is an impact that will survive as the most enduring and long lasting effect on one-s life. We should allow ourselves to be receptive to just how valuable an impact is brought to us by Gods saving power which is only available by the grace and mercy he bestows upon us. Nothing in your life will ever come close to being as valuable a gift that you could receive throughout the rest of your lives. Yet there are so many today outside of these doors who have not experienced the joy of Gods most powerful impact, an impact made by grace and mercy. A joy gained by the knowledge of God-s promise of everlasting life and forgiveness of sins.

Overview: Today as we look further into the true fact that God does intend to impact our lives. We can see this impact all around us if we are receptive to and believe that God does influence us by allowing us to enter into storms in this life. In this series so far we have seen Jonah as he faced a storm out of disobedience. We saw Paul face a storm after warning that sailing at the present time would likely result in the loss of their lives as well as the ship and cargo. And the disciples who faced a storm when they were sent ahead by Jesus to another shore, that they might be tested in their faith. So today we back up to an earlier time when Jesus with the disciples after teaching the multitude set sail with the disciples. What we should see here is that this was going to be preparation for the disciples that they might see and know more of Gods almighty power and learn to trust faithfully when Jesus was not with them physically. This leads into the story were Jesus would send the disciples out ahead of Him, and is the beginning of the preparation for when He would no longer be present with them in body but in spirit.

Overview: I want you to see that some would say that Jonah did just what he was supposed to do as He witnessed to those men on the ship- With this I am saying it is easy to justify yourself or even offer justification to others because everything seems to have worked out to the good and it did work out to Gods greater good. Matthew 5-45 teaches us that God with His Great love He extends even unto His enemies as He bestows His love even upon those who are least expecting it. Did you notice that happing here in this the story of Jonah- It is everywhere God is. You know that Romans 8-28 tells us what- -That all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.- Was Jonah called to serve the Lord- Yes he was he was called by the Lord to go to Nineveh right- Now God used Jonah-s disobedience for his pleasure can you see this- Yet I would have you realize that there were consequences for Jonah-s disobedience and that can often be overlooked. Even though God used this storm that the men would wake up Jonah from his dreamy sleep that he would tell them of the God he serves and of his mighty power. Did Jonah not end up in the belly of the whale- When you think of this story how much emphasis do you bring upon yourself about being in the belly of the whale- If you understand the way we as humans learn from our mistakes would you say that it is of great importance or not that we understand the results the cause and effects of our disobedience on both ourselves and others- It is of great importance to understand the forgiving love, mercy, and grace that God bestows upon us. Overview: Are aware of the fact that God throughout the bible gives details about Satan-s plots, plans, schemas, and or devices. It want you to know how Satan attacks that our ignorance will be removed. I want there to be no chance that you would think you can use the excuse I didn-t know. You have been accused have you not- How did you respond- Do you trust that God has said, that though Satan will make accusations against you, that you can find great defender in Jesus Christ- Satan will tempt you, he will also use your failures, and your short comings against you that it might raise doubt. Where might Satan hope to raise doubt- --2 Corinthians 2-7--11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us- for we are not ignorant of his devices.--Paul knowing that God was always aware of everything that transpired in his life. God saw and sees everything, hears and knows everything. This is see true for Paul when this was written as it is true for you today. Paul was also aware that Satan-s plans included a desire to produce animosity, legalism, extreme tolerance as well as intolerance. God has given us a way of protection it is found in His Son Jesus Christ first and then in His written word by revealing Satan-s schemes that we may know them.
