Family is an important part of who we are, shaping our identity, our relationships, and even our future. Human families aren't perfect, but in this message from All Saints' Day we consider the wonderful assurance that God has made us his children, part of his family. We're in 1 John 3:1-3.
In this Reformation Day message, we remember the courage of Martin Luther and the Savior who gave him that courage. In Matthew 10:16–23, Jesus reminds us that following him is a *Dangerous Calling*, but he also assures us that the Savior who sends us into a hostile world will never abandon us.
We know that Jesus calls us to be his witnesses, but what if we're afraid to speak up or don't know what to say? The risen and ascended Lord gives ordinary Christians everything we need to share the extraordinary message of Jesus. We're in Luke 24:44-53.
Pride separates us. Death blinds us. Shame disgraces us. God's table is bigger than all that. Isaiah prophesied about the banquet the Lord has prepared for us, where Christ gives us forgiveness and life-and the best is still to come. We'll be in Isaiah 25:6-9.
Everything in this world eventually wears out, breaks down, or falls apart. Yet God has promised something better! This message concludes our Beyond Temple Walls series with “Creation Wants Something Better” (Romans 8:18–23) Even creation itself is eagerly awaiting the glorious future Christ has secured for us.
God’s temple isn’t confined to a building. This message is the third in the four part series, Beyond Temple Walls. We’ll hear Paul’s surprising reminder that we are the temple—and consider what that means for the way we live each day. Our text is 1 Corinthians 6:12-20.
“The end of all things is near.” That might sound frightening, but Peter doesn’t tell Christians to panic or hide. We’ll see how Christ frees us to live confidently—and for one another—as we wait for him. We'll be in 1 Peter 4:7-11.
This Sunday we will begin a four part stewardship series called "Beyond Temple Walls." The sermons and Bible studies will call on us to consider what it means to a member of a church. Belonging to a church isn't something that happens once a week inside four walls. Our relationship with Christ shapes our decisions and life every day. What we believe matters. So does the way we live. As we begin Beyond Temple Walls, we'll hear Paul's encouragement to talk the talk and walk the walk-holding firmly to God's truth while reflecting Christ's love to the people around us. We'll be in 1 Timothy 4:1-16.
God once appointed Ezekiel as a watchman-someone called to listen carefully to God's Word and then speak it to others. As we listen to God speak to the prophet, we hear God's urgent, grace-filled question: "Why die?" and discover the life he gives us in Christ. We'll be in Ezekiel 33:7-11.
Our world knows how to keep divided people apart, but walls and barriers cannot create genuine peace. Ephesians 2:13–22 shows how Christ brings us near to God, tears down the walls between us, and builds us together as his church—because he himself is our peace.
