The past can haunt us, the present can overwhelm us, and the future can frighten us. But Romans 8 assures us that God has been at work, God is for us now, and nothing in all creation can separate us from his love in Christ. We'll be in Romans 8:28-39.
What do you do when your hands are empty? Whether it's strength, answers, hope, or resources that seem to be in short supply, Jesus' invitation remains the same: "Bring them here to me." In this great miracle story we see that Jesus Christ is strength for the weak. We're in the familiar story of Jesus feeding five thousand in Matthew 14:13-21.
What would you ask God for if he said, "Ask"? Solomon's remarkable answer gives us a pattern for our own prayers: Remember. Request. Receive. We see that true wisdom begins with dependence on the Lord. 1 Kings 3:5-12
Why doesn't God do something about all the evil in the world? It's a question believers and skeptics alike have asked. In this message we hear Jesus' surprising answer in the parable of the wheat and the weeds, and discover why God's patience is actually good news for us.
If God does everything, why should we do anything? God's work doesn't make our work unnecessary—it gives our work meaning. In this message we hear the apostle Paul's encouragement that trusting God is hard work, and discover why every act of faithful service rests on the one foundation that never changes: Jesus Christ. We'll be in 1 Corinthians 3:5-11.
As we celebrate Independence Day, we give thanks for the freedoms God has given us as citizens of this nation. In this message we listen to Jesus teach us an even greater identity: what it means to live as citizens of God's kingdom while honoring the earthly kingdom where He has placed us. We'll be in Matthew 22:15-22.
What were you made for? Our world encourages us to chase success, comfort, and more possessions. But what if the greatest tragedy isn't failing to get everything you want, but settling for too little? Join us as we discover from 1 Timothy 6:11–16 that, through Christ, we were made for more.
What are you passing on to the next generation? We'll hear some of the last words the Apostle Paul wrote as he encouraged his spiritual son, Timothy. Together we'll consider what it means to live as part of God's "Mission Eternal" and why our confidence for the future rests not in our faithfulness, but in Christ's. We'll be in 2 Timothy 4:1-8.
Who is leading your life? Scripture teaches that good leadership makes a difference in our lives, and most of us have experienced that truth in our own lives as well. This Sunday we'll look at Moses, Joshua, and ultimately Jesus, the Good Shepherd who never abandons His flock. Join us as we discover why God's people are never left "without a shepherd".
In a world full of competing voices and uncertain promises, the apostle Paul points us to a “trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance”: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. We hear again the good news that God’s grace is stronger than our past and that in Christ, forgiveness—not failure—gets the final word.
