Grateful people are light, hopeful and life giving. Ungrateful people are self-absorbed, grumpy, and life consuming. The truth is ingratitude not only affects you, it affects everyone around you.

Ignatius of Antioch believed that the first sin Adam and Eve committed was not rebellion, or pride or greed, it was instead ingratitude. Ingratitude takes our heart and mind off of God and his goodness and it causes us to be self centered and self absorbed. Ingratitude is quite possibly the root cause of all sin. Listen to part 2.

Your level of gratitude or lack of gratitude is a sign of your spiritual health. In fact you can tell three things about someone based on whether or not they walk in gratitude toward God. These are; #1 Where your heart is, #2 The quality of your devotional life, and #3 How important the Gospel is to you.

When we see God as worthy enough we will sing to him with all our heart and praise him with all that we have and love him even when the music or the song isn't the style or genre that we prefer. We need to value God enough to learn to love the songs and the music that connects other people to him. Remember worship isn't about us. It is about God. Listen to Part 2

The solution to a self centered world ensnared in postmodern philosophy is the uncompromising, faithful proclamation of the only authoritative source of truth which is the infallible, inerrant word of God. It is the proclamation of the word of God combined with the work of the Holy Spirit that opens the eyes of a blind world to see real objective truth. Listen to Part 7

There is a purpose to it all. The purpose of sound doctrine, the purpose of you living in right action, the purpose of you standing out in the world, the purpose of godliness, the purpose of self-control, the purpose of fleeing from sin, the purpose of the church being the Pillar of truth in a world that is running away from real objective truth is to help others to come to their senses and actually hear the truth so that they can repent and be saved! If your are a Christ follower and you are not living the life God is calling you to live it is not because you don't have what you need to live that way. God has given us EVERYTHING we need for life and Godliness. The issue is actually something else. Listen to Part 5

In these three letters to Timothy and Titus, Paul over and over again talks about an idea that we have all heard before, but we really don't understand what he means. Because the truth is this idea and this concept is so radical that if were to apply it to our lives it would literally change everything. It would change our families, it would change our relationships, it would change our work, it would change how we see the world and it would change how the world see us. If we were to take seriously the implication of this idea we would continually live as a shining light in a dark world as a pillar of truth. Listen to part 4.
