How are we the church ever going to be the Pillar of truth that shares the hope of Christ with the world if we continue live and behave just like the world. As members of the church we are called to a higher standard that causes us to stand out in stark contrast to the world around us.

False doctrine says "God loves you just as you are, so its ok if you stay that way." True Doctrine says "God loves you just as you are, but he loves you to much to leave you that way".

The truth is justification and sanctification good hand in hand. The God that saves you from the penalty of sin, is the same God that saves you from the power of sin.

"For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths." (I Tim 4:3-4)

Paul wrote this about the churches in his time, but this seem to fit what is happening to Christianity in this post modern era. Many want to hear doctrine that makes them FEEL better but doesn't actually make them better. The truth is the difference between true doctrine and false doctrine isn't a matter of opinion or perspective. It is a matter of life and death. Listen to Part One of Pillar of Truth.

Perhaps the hardest question that we have to face in this subject is "If God is good and all powerful then why does he allow Satan to live? And why hasn't God stopped him?'

It all comes down to a decision. Will you be the one who cowers down hoping your enemy passes you by, or will you stand up and fight back. God had given you the tools you need to stand your ground and fight back. The only question is will you use them. Listen to part 3.
