For God it has never been about the rules. It has always been about the relationship. Because you can’t keep all the rules. It’s impossible. That is why God came to earth and died for our sins. Her fulfills the righteous requirements of the law for us. Not so we could obey a bunch of rules. Not so we could be religious. He came and died for us so we can have a relationship with Him! Jesus in Luke 6:46 asks “Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you?" What a huge question. Why would we call Him Lord, or why would we call ourselves by His name if we are not willing to do what he says. This Sunday is Vision Sunday where we look ahead at the Vision that God has given FBC for the future.

Protecting our children is a natural part of parenting. And as parents we do a pretty good job protecting them from external threats. We encourage our kids to buckle up, call us when they get where they are going and not to talk to strangers. The problem is there in an invisible predator preying on our children, and it's not "out there". It's actually in our homes right under our very noses.
