Revelation 1:1-18

John's revelation of Jesus Christ emphasizes His actions as the King of Kings. In this first chapter, what is revealed and emphasized to John about Jesus Christ is so polarizing it cannot be ignored. It is so powerful, changes the course of human history, and is so personal that it impacts your life.

Matthew 21:1-17

Jesus is ushered into the city of Jerusalem with a parade of praise from His followers and disciples. They shout that He is the One who comes in the Name of the Lord. He is going to to save them and free them from Roman oppression. Jesus accepts this praise with the knowledge that in just a few days the shout of praise will turn into shouts of rage for Him to be crucified. His time has come and His purpose is about to be fulfilled. In the early part of this holy week, takes the time to disrupt a city looking for a Savior, and a religious system vainly trying to provide salvation to establish truth about Himself that connect to how He is the true and only Savior.

John 6:41-51

As the conversation continues, more is revealed by Jesus that
causes great confusion. What Jesus says is challenging what they believe and
know to be true, by revealing to them the sovereign working of God, to reveal a
greater truth about Jesus.

John 6:16-21

How Jesus was working in this passage is how He works in our lives. He has a complex work He is doing to bring about a simple truth. When Jesus tells His disciples not to fear, He is communicating the same truth all his disciples.

What Jesus shows these leaders is so compelling and so clear but they still didn’t believe, and Jesus know the exact reasons why they don’t believe. The reasons they didn’t believe can be the same reasons that are keeping you from believing the truth about Jesus.
