This headline caught my attention last month, "Your Child is worth $300,000 a year to a Human Trafficker."

Today we cover 6 things that parents SHOULD do to protect their children from traffickers.

Today we share more about the headlined article that states that if your child has any online presence then they have already been targeted by a human trafficker.

The program today describes more about the grooming process. It is meant to help us realize that most caught up in trafficking don't do so as in the movie "Taken." We also get to share how much PATH does to help rehabilitate survivors.

Today we share a report that caught my attention a few weeks ago. The headline said, "Your child has already been contacted by human traffickers."

We have two news stories today. One out of Los Angeles, California where over 500 were arrested last week in a week long human trafficking effort. The other is out of Jonesboro, Arkansas, where 13 were arrested for trafficking as well.

Today with Super Bowl awareness I get to share several of the "signs" that someone may be being trafficked. It's good for all of us to go over again in our awareness. I also get to share a recent "happenstance" meeting I had with the director of a local crisis pregnancy type ministry that shared how the training that PATH had done for them actually helped them identify a trafficker that brought a girl in to get tested to see is she was pregnant! They called the police and the police took the man away!

Today we share a story out of the Miami area about preparations governing authorities are taking to fight trafficking around the upcoming Super Bowl next week.

January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month. We share about that this week and share an initiative that the Polaris Project has going about it. We also encourage folks to take a serious look at our own PATH to see how each one can be involved in fighting human trafficking right here at our door steps.
