2 Peter 2:4-11

In this message we will be reminded that God will judge each and every person AND that God will save those who humbly put their faith and trust in Christ.

Did you know that in every group, in every church, and in every age, there are individuals who oppose God's work? In our text this week, Peter is going to remind us of this truth and help us to identify the qualities and attributes of a false teacher. How do we respond? How can we protect ourselves? Buckle up as we learn to discern fakes and snakes.

How can we know if the claims of the Apostles are true? How can we know if Jesus really rose from the dead and offers hope and salvation to all. Is it all just a fairy tale or a myth? In our text today, Peter is going to tell us how we can discover the truth, and where we should turn for the answers we seek.

In this series we are walking verse by verse through the New Testament letter of 2 Peter. In his farewell address, Peter encourages us: to pursue spiritual maturity, to discern false teachers, and to live in light of the second coming of Christ. As we open his letter we are challenged with this question, "are we growing in grace?"

In this series, we explore the power of the lies we believe. We will discover where lies come from, why we believe them, and how to find the fulfillment that Satan's lies promise but never deliver. Today our focus is on our mental health.

We live in a culture that is constantly changing and does not always agree with the truth of scripture. In this message we will ask the question “when should I draw a line in the sand”? If we fail to answer this question, the chances are very high that we will find ourselves pulled away by the current of culture.

As we kick off the New Year, we will explore the power of the lies we believe. In this message series from Connexus Church, we will discover where lies come from, why we believe them, and how to find the fulfillment that Satan's lies promise but never deliver. 

The story of the wise men's journey to worship Jesus and experience his presence is not just a story from history, but also a template of how we can personally experience Gods presence in our lives today. God is present with us and available to us today, revealing himself both in the obvious and the difficult to notice. Our drive (or lack of it) to discover and experience his presence will define our experience of love, joy and peace this Christmas season.

Christmas can be such a festive, merry and joyful time. Until it's not. Then nothing makes sense. This week we will explore the idea that God's presence isn't only experienced in the good times but also in the noisy, messy and chaotic seasons of life.

The greatest gift God has ever given to us, is himself.  This Christmas we are focusing in on the importance of God’s presence in our lives.  If you feel lonely, exhausted, or in need of hope … there’s good news.  God is “with us”.
