Imagine, you're at a wedding, starring at the Bride and Groom whom have just concluded their ceremony. Now freeze frame that moment. Everything seems so perfect. This man and this woman have just exchanged vows and rings and kisses. It is for keeps. Right?

While I was away, I ended up in a place called Brocato's. They are known for their cuban sandwiches and deviled crab. But the experience I had while at Brocato's left a lasting impact on me, that I believe is a warning about the way most of us go through life.

When we think of War, we tend to think of physical flesh and blood wars, with deadly weapons and ammunition. However, the Bible tells us clearly that a spiritual war is raging around us every single day. We will be able to stand our ground, or will we become another casualty?

In modern times "No Man's Land" is commonly associated with World War One, to describe the area of land between two enemy trench systems. The Bible offers some words on this "No Man's Land", when it comes to our spiritual lives as well.

One of the exciting characteristics of the New Testament Church was that they really enjoyed what they were doing and did it with fervor.

When you are involved in the battle, God will provide. God will see to it that you have the provision you need to accomplish His will. You may be empty handed right now. However, if you will get in the fight God can fill your hands with provision.

The setting is that the Midianites had prevailed against the land of Israel for 7 years. Bondage had become so bad the children of Israel had begun to make houses and dens in the mountains to stay hidden from the Midianites. Every year the Midianites would come and take the crops and the fields that the Israelites had worked so hard to plant and tend. Gideon was is in hiding. He was fearful of the Midianites, and that is when God comes to Gideon, the man He calls a "mighty warrior!"

In Gideon's own eyes, he was less than nothing. He had no power within himself, no knowledge of warfare and tactics. He had no education in the use of weaponry, and no ability to lead men into battle. In other words, he was just a common citizen trying to make it the best way he knew how. But God saw something in this man Gideon that no one else could see!

Have you ever felt that God has left you? You know what I mean – you are in desperate need and He seems to have just abandoned you?

It is not always easy to speak truth but if we love someone we must speak truth to them. Think of John the Baptist and Herod. John spoke truth to Herod out of love even though it would ultimately mean his life.
