I recently had the opportunity to get away and spend some time with my son. During that time, I learned several important lessons that are proving to be critical for our lives today.
So many of us spend our lives running around looking for something that will finally satisfy our desires, and set our minds at ease. However, this pursuit usually leaves us lacking, because we run to the wrong things.
Do you ever feel like you are just a pawn on a board game? Sometimes it feels like someone is just playing a giant game with all of us being simple pieces on the board. Games like Life, Monopoly and Battleship are iconic, but did you realize there is a board-game called Pandemic?!?
It’s easy to get discouraged. Throughout the pages of scripture we learn that we are not the only the people who lived in insane times. God’s people find themselves in crazy circumstances but God shows up and guides His people and His Word shows us that God is in control!
Knock Down the small things in life, big things can & will fall. Our decisions, actions and even our words, can have consequences we never considered. This week we take a look at the vivid imagery the Bible uses when talking about the importance of our words.
The Domino Effect is produced when one event initiates a succession of similar events, once the first one falls things just keep going faster and bigger! Another way to look at it, is to recognize it is a chain reaction. The outcome is predictable, and today we are watching dominos fall all around us.
Anyone who has ever "closed" on a home sale, knows its not always so simple. There are steps involved, a process. I recently went through this process, including a home inspection. I was later informed, the house had some issues that needed to be resolved. When entering the home again, all I could see was the brokenness, clearly identified. In life, we can easily focus in on what's broken.
There aren’t a lot of other ways that show a stronger dedication to something than to have it tattooed. Have you ever feared that your faith might fail? Have you worried you might not be able to “hold out” or “hold on” in the long, arduous journey of the Christian life? Join us as we reflect on the last few weeks, and what it means to Hold Fast as a Christian.
If a scary movie keeps you awake at night, then you will love this week’s message... To say the events of the tribulation will be horrible is an understatement. The years we will talk about will be nothing like the world as ever known.
What happens when I die? What happens when this world finally comes to an end?
It’s time to start thinking about your life and the world and how they’re both going to end. Not trying to be morbid, we're not focused on death, we're focused on death and far beyond. The Bible speaks to the final reckoning. There will be a day the world will be shaken, a day that Jesus Christ will return.
