God is peace

We have seen over the past 12 messages, we have gone over God’s Aseity, transcendence, beauty, love, mercy, omnipotence, omnipresence, Glory, goodness, wrath, perfection, and now today shalom.

515 eirḗnē (from eirō, "to join, tie together into a whole") – properly, wholeness, i.e. when all essential parts are joined together; peace (God's gift of wholeness).

eiro = to join or bind together that which has been separated

The exact antithesis of peace is contention, disorder, discord, dissidence, strife, disorder, unrest, war, battle, turmoil, tumult

For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but my steadfast love shall not depart from you, and my covenant of peace shall not be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you. Isaiah 54:10

Shalom
completeness, soundness, welfare, peace

The root meaning of shalom is to be whole

In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety

Purpose of Peace
33 I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

Promise of Peace
