Timmy Valentine (b. 1975) is an Illinois-based artist and author (published under T. Valentine) His work blends an experimental spirit with bold, energetic compositions. His paintings are unapologetically free, offering a unique perspective and memorable narratives that captivate. Each piece feels like a complete story, yet hints at a larger, more complex universe, inviting viewers to dive deeper and explore beyond the surface.

Goreilla (Sean Regalado) is an teacher/artist who is interested in horror but not in the conventional sense. He is interested in it through a whimsical and child-like sensibility. That being said, he creates sculptures of monsters, creatures and people. He often fuses ceramics with sculpture creating a unique hybrid for his sensibilities. Lloyd Kaufman is an Independent Filmmaker known for his wacky low-budget horror/comedies in collaboration with Troma Entertainment, and his very informative books on filmmaking. It should also be mentioned that he is the creator of The Toxic Avenger! Right now he is working on his Film-Noir debut "The Power of Positive Murder." Michael Riesman is the musical director and conductor of The Philip Glass Ensemble. In this episode, Michael talks about his work from starting out as a keyboardist in the Philip Glass Ensemble, to conducting the chorus in the opera 'Einstein on The Beach,' in 1976 to conducting the many film scores for filmmakers like Martin Scorsese, Woody Allen, Godfrey Reggio, and Errol Morris. Philip Glass is one of the most surprising composers of the late 20th and early 21st century in that his work deals with a great amount of repetition which was very different for the time during the 1970s and 1980s. Michael Riesman is one of the first people to ever perform Glass' music and in return has a very prestigious role in the Philip Glass enterprise. We talk about this progression from the minimalistic and repetitious 'Music in Twelve Parts' to the opera 'Einstein on The Beach' to the classical approach for the film 'Koyaanisqatsi'.

Samuel Andreyev is a composer based in France who is known for creating unique pieces for unique instruments. He composed songs as a teenager that were very experimental in nature but would come to a slight halt when he would decide to attend the Paris Conservatory. He trained as a composer but would still nurture his love for photography, poetry, and songwriting as well as composition. His main interest now is making compositions for various groups and individuals. He joined me in conversation about his music and the arts in general. Enjoy!

Polly Verity is a self proclaimed 'paper sculptor' who developed this way of folding paper into realistic forms. Her way of making paper sculptures stem from a book of origami that one of her past relatives developed. My Dan Lactose is a musician primarily known for being in the hardcore-punk power trio SPAZZ from 1993-2000. He was the Guitarist/Vocalist of the group until the demise of the band in 2000. The group is often associated with being called 'powerviolence' which Dan talks in depth on why he thinks that's not the case. Dan is also a Hip-Hop DJ that goes under the alias DJ Eons along with the group 'Grand Invincible.' He also has had many side projects one that we talk about is 'Dank Goblins' which I think is a very unique instrumental Hip-Hop project.
