Paul and Caroline Daley review TV - Handmaid's Tale | The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel | This Is US | Westworld | Stranger Things

After an amazing montage of the Maisel family both moving in and moving out of their apartment, reality reasserts itself when Midge and kids move in with Abe and Rose. Saying the move is a big adjustment is an understatement.

Scene stealing moments:

* The comedian with the suicidal puppet.

* Abe's description of Rose's extended trip to the bathroom.

Sunday we saw the huge event depicting Jack's passing. This Tuesday we dealt with the first step of the aftermath: Jack's funeral. The show's creators decided against dwelling on the funeral aspect, instead focusing on the family car. The car works as a tribute to how much Jack wanted to keep his family safe and happy. We see it on the day they got it, other important days like teaching the boys to drive, and finally the day Rebecca takes over in the driver's seat.

This episode  was the one we've been waiting for. This special episode, which aired after the Super Bowl, showed us all how the show's defining event went down. We all knew the outcome, but our hearts broke anyway.

I would personally LOVE to be at one of those dinners when Abe (Tony Shalhoub) and Moishe (Kevin Pollak) start going at it. I'm not saying I'd like to be Joel (never Joel) or Midge in that situation. But, maybe an uncle or someone without a real dog in the fight. Every time either father is on screen, they dominate the scene. This episode features a meeting of these titans and the fireworks are AWESOME.

So hard to watch! We all know what's coming, but we still have to watch our beloved characters plow ahead into their fractured futures. We'll be back after the Super Bowl, assuming we don't need professional emotional support. Damn you, Crock-pot!

For better or for worse, Jane (formerly 011), locates her long lost sister, Kali (formerly 008). A lot of people hate this episode. Caroline is one of those people. Paul, tries to point out some redeeming qualities of the episode. Since this podcast is one of the shortest we've released in a while, you be the judge on who won their case.
