At the top of todays show our hosts debut a new feature, with Elden Rungs joining the lineup. Moses is vindicated and Paul is fascinated during their rollicking discussion.
After Game Ranks Paul and Moses turn to fond memories of youth as well as grim predictions for the future, and be sure to listen to the end to hear Paul’s cold develop in real time!
Welcome back for another week, wherein our hosts start off with EVEN MORE Elden Ring chat before ranking a couple of beloved games that showcase the power of friendship.
We then hear about what Moses loves about *GWAAAAAAUUUGHHHH*, so please take note and beware of a jarring sound bite (coward). Following this, Paul talks about the ongoing conversation between From Software and their fans, our hosts tell each other about something Elden Ring related, and, of course, Make My Game.
On today’s show Moses begins surviving while Paul stays aliving, an entire simulated city comes to life, and castles and those who crash them are recounted. After a brush with some sinister arpeggio Moses channels his inner Death Adder, with evil results.
Our special guest this week is none other than one Julie Berberich, Paul’s very mother herself. She recounts her favorite games growing up, and leads a discussion on the role of house rules in board gaming. Our penultimate Elden Ring Watch and a difficult Make My Game take us home, and that’s where the heart is.
This week, Vampire Survivors is finally in Paul’s hands, and not since Loop Hero has a game been so chemically compulsive. Moses is still keen on Kena, and tells us how many tandem boos and hoos this game has drawn deep from within him.
Moses then ranks a game involving agents of the elite beat variety, and Disco Elysium storms Paul’s list, leading the two of them to discuss the immense regret that certain choices therein have lead them to.
Paul names a challenge for Moses, who performs admirably, and the two of them hoverboard off into the sunset, like so many Docs Brown and Clara Claytons.
It’s a new week with a new game, as Paul and Moses delve into the world of galactic mining, with addictive results. We also cover the klobb & one Mr. Oddjob when Moses adds his 007th game to his rankings.
Our hosts then reap the riches of the internet with a fond remembrance of the flash games of yore and an AI driven Dark Souls item generator. We also have the return of Elden Ring Watch and your Blaseball update, so don’t delay, listen today!
We start this week with our hosts celebrating Paul’s first platinum trophy, as well as singing the praises of Pokemon across all iterations, and commiserating about corn jail.
Then after Game Ranks we officially kick off Children’s Week here on the show, as only two childless men can. Bon appétit!
