Kicking off our first episode of 2023 with a banger!!!
None other than the O.G. Ron Allen!!! Ron is credited as being the first African American professional street skateboarder, breaking through social barriers and racial stereotypes, paving the way for so many generations.
Ron was in town thanks to John Norris and Adirolf Skateboarding, speaking to kids at the local schools to motivate and inspire the next generation with stories of Ron's tribulations and triumphs in life. Ron is 100% skateboarder through and through, and one of the raddest human beings we've ever met! 

This week on Pauly On The Pod we have our "Thanksgiving Special" episode, which we recorded two days after Thanksgiving in true POTP fashion(better late than never). 
We  started off the day with a skate sesh at the POTP HQ. Pauly was joined by the homies John Norris of Adirolf Skateboarding and Joey Diaz, while the Docta heckled of course. Those three got a solid session on the quarter and flat bar before we sat down for a chat. And as expected madness and hilariousness ensued for the entirety of the episode. On this episode of POTP we have Jax transplant, Virginia Beach native, Julian Etheridge. Julian is a professional skateboarder who has ridden for many different companies over the years. We discussed his early years in skateboarding, and growing up in VA Beach. His experiences and time competing on the Mountain Dew "dew tour". And we play everyone's favorite game, "Is It A Sport".

For 43 we had local North Florida legend Carl Naegele. You may have heard once upon a time there being this massive skate-haven nestled under the trees, tucked away, amongst the palmettos and southern pine trees. A true Hessian Haven, just a stones throw from the World Golf Village in St. Augustine, FL. 
Well, Carl Naegele is the man that owns that legendary property, and although the ramps have rotted away. Carl salvaged everything he could, grabbed materials from Rick Morgan when he had to tear down his ramps, and now has a clear path to set the final phase of skate madness on a property that has been in his family for years.
We discuss his skateboarding roots, play "News With Idiots", and had an overall rad conversation. We enjoyed it, we hope you do too!  

On this exciting episode we break out of our normal format of interviewing and talking skateboarding to "shoot the shit" with Mrs. Walnuts. 
We try out two new segments and explore other topics and interests outside our comfort zone to hopefully showcase the true nature of our goofy ass personalties. 
This episode was a ton of fun and it's filled with "Tom Foolery" & "Shenanigans".
We untucked our shirts, loosened our ties, and let our hair down for this one..... we recommend you do the same!

Episode 41 we have another super rad guest, Paul "Toothless" Vaughn. Paul is known throughout the south for his skateboarding, surfing, ramp building and his dedication to all three for the past 35 years. Paul is a true "Florida Man" through and through, rad in every sense of the word. We are stoked for this episode, we hope you are too!
We were pleased to be joined by the one and only Mrs. Walnuts as well to assist in the coproduction of the episode. 

What can we say about Drew, that we haven't already said about legends like Christian Fletcher or Mike Frazier..... not much. 
In other words Drew is one RADICAL dude!!!
Drew is a local Florida boy, growing up on the west coast of Florida where he gained his sea legs surfing the gulf. And grew skateboarding with Florida legends like Frazier & Jimmy The Greek. 
Hell, the man has even been known to slap some trucks on a surfboard and rip skateparks on it like it was standard popsicle shape, such as the New Smyrna Beach bowl and Kona Skatepark.

Episode 39 we bring you another special guest, Mr. Jake Schrickling. Who we can't thank enough for giving time out of his busy life, with moving into a new home and we are very appreciative that his wife was down to let him take some of his time to chat. 
We are truly honored to have Jake with us on this episode, and as a friend and supporter.
Jake is a legend in the skateboarding world for the countless photos he's taken over the years and had published in every skateboarding magazine that we all know and love. He's been a staple in east coast skateboarding with FTK Skate Mag, his time as a world industries rep, as well as his affiliation with SkateLab during it's years of operation here in Jacksonville Florida.
Jake is the man responsible for donation the limited print photos of Mike Peterson and Aaron Mullen for our raffle to benefit Docta Jones's hip surgery fund. We couldn't be more stoked to call him our friend! We had a blast with this one!

Episode 38 - The one and only Jake Schrickling, former editor of FTK Magazine, blessed us with some NBP (Never Been Published) photos of Mike and Aaron skating Mike's backyard pool in Jax Beach Florida.
We are raffling off framed, autographed photos of this event to benefit Docta Jones's hip replacement surgery. We appreciate all donations but a minimum donation of $25 is required to enter the raffle. The raffle entry is open from August 1, 2022 - September 15, 2022.

For Episode 37 Pauly Walnuts, Docta Jones, and Joey "Jalapeño" Diaz sit down with special guest Ryan King. Ryan is a local film maker, former team manager of FlatLine Skateboards as well as former team manager for SquareOne Skate Shop. 
We discuss his days with sq.one, which led him into his marketing job with RedBull.
Then we recap his days with FlatLine, discuss their heavy influence on Florida and east coast skateboarding, and how that led him to marketing for RedBull.
We also discuss a very heavy topic which is the disease that his son Sturgill is diagnosed with.
Juvenile Dermatomyositis.
We discuss the parallels between what Ryan's son has experienced, what Ryan went through to crowd fund for treatment, and what Docta Jones is currently experiencing on his journey to finally get the surgery he so desperately needs.
It was another super fun episode and we look forward to having Ryan back on in the future!
