Pause and Play it Forward

Welcome to Episode 10!

For Music Club, we listened to The Snuts' W.L. and Lukas Nelson and Promise of The Real's self-titled album. We enjoyed the musical journey we went on with Scottish indie rock through to Californian country rock. We talked crushes, operating on Texas Time and how music gets under your skin and into your soul in the most beautiful way.

Our Top Five theme was age and, if we may say so ourselves, we've come up with classic tracks that span the decades and certainly won't fade with time. Like us, they will be forever young :)

All the songs we talk about can be found on the Spotify playlist for this week here.

Please like, subscribe and tell your friends about us, and contact us on our socials with your thoughts about any of the music we talk about.

We're always up for suggestions for future Music Club albums or Top Five themes.

Join us for Episode 9 as we talk about a couple of albums and compile a top 5 on a theme. Interested? Then listen away, friends!

Don't feel like a friend just yet? You will if you listen!

We've been told our podcast is like listening to two mates in a pub, and we really like that. So join us with a tipple of your fancy as we talk AJ Tracey's Flu Game and Bjork's Debut.

We tested our geographical knowledge by compiling a list of songs that feature capital cities - intrigued? Ah go on, take a listen!

Every song we talk about is lovingly popped on a Spotify playlist, and created for your listening pleasure. You can find this episode's playlist here.

It would make our day if you like, subscribe and tell your friends about us, and contact us on our socials with your thoughts about any of the music we talk about, or any you want us to talk about.

Welcome friends and join us as we PAPIF our way through 2 albums and a Top 5 on a theme. New listeners can expect a spoonful of laughter, a sprinkling of stories and a tablespoon of trivia (this week's top 5 theme is cooking, can you tell?!)

We start with Music Club - a bit like book club but with albums - this week we listened to LA based Moonchild and their latest album Starfruit (those collaborations!) and the queen of hip hop Soul Mary J Blige's latest album, Good Morning Gorgeous (those collaborations AGAIN!). Find out what we think and whether you should listen to these albums by pressing play on this episode.

Hey, good looking! Our Top 5 this week is all about cooking, so we rustled up a top 5 of scrumptious morsels for you to feast on. Check out the top 5 and all the songs we mention in the episode on our Spotify playlist here.

Pull up a chair and join us as we give a light-hearted review of a couple of albums and compile a Top 5 on a theme. Plus loads of laughter, stories and facts (we love a bit of trivia!)

We start with Music Club - a bit like book club but less wine (and with albums) this week we listened to Hope Downs by Melbourne band Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever and a new album called Three Dimensions Deep from Amber Marks, a soulful US-based songstress. Find out what we think and whether you should listen to these albums by pressing play on this episode.

Our Top 5 this week is obsessed with babies. More to the point, songs with baby in the lyrics and unsurprisingly there are loads - we reckon about 13 million will spring to mind immediately for you. We have given birth to (get it?) the ultimate top 5 and it doesn't need its nappy changing.

In Music Club this week we listened to Holly Humberstone's EP - The Walls Are Way Too Thin which is a new release and we went back to the '80s with Wet Wet Wet - Popped In Souled Out.

We had a brilliant time this week researching our Top Five theme which was the best music video cameos and we've come up with some stunners - what's your favourite?

This episode's Music Club albums were the new album from FKA Twigs - Caprisongs and to mark the sad passing of the legend, Meat Loaf - Bat Out of Hell.

Our Top 5 theme was the best songs for keep fit classes, and did we pull our legwarmers up, get our sweatbands on and find a few!

We went back to 1992 and indulged in the beautiful vocals of En Vogue and their album Fun Divas. Plus we listened to the new release from Bonobo - Fragments. Have you listened to either? What did you think?

Our Top 5 theme was House - not the music but the thing you might live in. What would your top 5 house songs be?

Wondering whether or not to listen to The Weeknd - Dawn FM? We've listened to it for this episode's Music Club (spoiler alert - we would say YESYESYES - LISTEN!) and we also listened to the 2009 album from Owl City called Ocean Eyes which features the beautiful song Fireflies.

As we are both always late we thought that would make a really good theme for this episode's Top 5 - find out which ones we decided would make it into our ultimate list by listening.

Theme for this week's top 5 was Money - having lots of it! What do you think we're going to come up with?

Welcome to season 2! In episode 1 we start as we truly mean to go on with a classic from Luther Vandross. His 1986 album is full of smash hits that we all know. The other album we listened to this week was released only a few weeks ago and is in fact a mixtape. It's Pinkpantheress - To hell with it. We are so excited to share what we think of these 2 albums with you.

Our Top 5 for this episode was all about new beginnings; getting back up and dusting ourselves off or the excitement of something new. The Spotify playlist for this episode featuring every song we talk about is AMAZING! Listen here.
