Pause Menu Society

When your wife’s past is literally on Pornhub, is that a dealbreaker - or a test of maturity? Pause Menu Society kicks off with a brutally honest, hilarious, and uncomfortable debate about a husband who married a woman he thought was a yoga instructor, only to learn she had a porn career, and what that means when the wedding, the baby, and the entire social circle are already in motion. From there, Derrick , Amy, KG, and Sterling spiral into the kind of unfiltered conversation only this crew can pull off. They break down why some secrets hit harder than others, whether “the past” should stay in the past, and why men and women react so differently when a partner’s history becomes public. They also dig into the viral wedding clip where a groom says the bride’s sister’s name at the altar, and why that kind of mistake instantly makes everybody suspicious. You'll also hear a full-throttle takedown of streaming culture after the Ben Da Don locker room controversy, including why the coach always outranks the players, why IRL streaming has gotten out of control, and how online clout keeps pushing people into dumber and riskier situations. The crew also weighs in on rich kids trying to buy their way into acting, with Kim and Kylie serving as the latest examples of celebrity “talent” getting manufactured in real time. And just when you think the episode can’t get any wilder, the conversation turns to a substitute teacher scam in Milwaukee, the most chaotic swinger saga ever told, and an absurdly detailed post about a cum-stained dress that somehow leads to a debate about Monica Lewinsky, dry cleaning, and whether any fabric can survive that kind of damage.

A wild roundtable starts with TV, sneaker culture, and a take so hot it turns into a full-scale defense of Babyface’s legacy—but the real story is a jaw-dropping relationship saga that keeps getting messier by the minute.Derrick, Amy, and Sterling break down a listener-submitted story about secrecy, cheating, polyamory, marriage, and the kind of betrayal that somehow gets even more unhinged when Spotify playlists enter the chat. From a fake dead best friend to a coworker love triangle, a swingers recruiting attempt, and a husband who may be the most baffling person in the entire situation, this episode is packed with details you have to hear to believe. You’ll also hear:

• Why Derrick thinks Jordan Brand is killing the sneaker game by overplaying the vault
• How Bomani Jones’ Babyface take sparks a passionate defense of one of music’s most important songwriters
• A discussion of the latest Diddy allegations through the lens of a new biography
• Why Ray J can apparently survive almost anything—except maybe a livestream and no sleep
• The full, absurd unraveling of a relationship story so chaotic it needs multiple parts

Derrick brings the heat, Amy keeps it grounded with real-life receipts and sharp reactions, and Sterling adds perspective that keeps the conversation moving. Together, they turn internet chaos into a hilarious, unfiltered breakdown of what happens when nobody sets boundaries and everybody keeps lying. If you like messy relationship drama, funny pop-culture debate, and a podcast that can go from sneakers to scandal in a single breath, this one is essential listening.

Derrick makes the case that if a player knows surgery is needed, waiting is not toughness—it’s self-sabotage, and the Rams are now paying for it.Using the report that Myles Garrett will miss at least four games after knee surgery, Derrick breaks down why this kind of delay is more than a roster problem. It becomes a team-wide gamble on timing, recovery, and whether a contender can afford to lose a difference-maker during the stretch that matters most.He connects the situation to famous sports choices that backfired or changed careers, from Shaquille O’Neal delaying foot surgery to Scottie Pippen sitting out early-season games to protect his future. Along the way, Derrick argues that elite teams survive on sacrifice, not ego, and that playoff expectations make every decision bigger when the margin for error is already tiny. You’ll also hear his take on international travel, why the Rams’ Australia trip may have made the situation even worse, and why he believes front offices and players need to stop pretending availability is the same thing as being ready. If you care about NFL roster strategy, team chemistry, or the cost of putting off medical decisions, this one is a blunt, passionate case for doing the hard thing early. Perfect for football fans who want more than hot takes—they want the logic behind them.

• The wildest episode of Pause Menu Society is part NFL kickoff, part gaming debate, and part absolute chaos. Derrick  Sterling, and KG turn a stack of internet stories into a hilarious, unfiltered hangout that swings from Six Brown Chicks madness to a serious take on Marvel's Wolverine, the state of PlayStation Studios, and why some games get buried by reviews before players ever touch them. The episode opens with football back in full force, fall settling in, and the crew already in midseason form before they even get to the main topics. From there, they tear into multiple outrageous advice columns, including a corporate elevator story so unhinged it becomes an instant top-tier creep case, a scammer who literally turns a fake accident into dinner money, and a relationship disaster involving a stolen cat and a lie that may be too big to confess. You'll discover:
• Why Wolverine's 77 Metacritic score sparked a bigger conversation about review culture, open-world design, and whether Insomniac can still deliver
• Why Derrick thinks Herman Holst and PlayStation leadership are dragging the brand in the wrong direction
• How the crew breaks down the difference between a bad game, a divisive game, and a game people are too quick to write off
• Why the Six Brown Chicks stories somehow get even more ridiculous with every read-through
• How scams, bad decisions, and pure audacity keep showing up in everyday life, from parking lot fraud to hotel breakfast theft
• The conversation also gets into heavier territory with the news around Carmen Bryan's lawsuit against Nori, the difficulty of timing in public allegations, and how fame, receipts, and silence collide when old stories resurface years later. Later, the crew reacts to the death of Buckwild, the ongoing fentanyl crisis, and the messiest relationship reveal of the week: Aaron Rodgers claiming his engagement to Shailene Woodley ended after she told him she needed to sleep with another man before they got married. This is Pause Menu Society at its most unfiltered.

• Why is the NHL ready to give second chances to Atlanta, Arizona, and Kansas City, but leaving Quebec City on the outside looking in? Derrick breaks down the league’s rumored expansion path and makes the case that one of hockey’s most obvious markets is getting ignored for reasons that have nothing to do with building an arena. If you care about NHL expansion, franchise relocation, market pressure, and the politics behind where pro sports teams actually land, this one will get your attention fast. You’ll discover:
• Why Texas makes sense for expansion, whether the team lands in Austin or Houston
• Why Kansas City is suddenly a real candidate thanks to an existing arena
• Why Atlanta and Phoenix raise major red flags because both markets have already failed before
• How arena deals, sightlines, and retrofits can make or break a franchise
• Why Canadian teams face a different level of pressure, taxes, and player movement
• Why Quebec City having a brand-new arena still may not be enough to bring the Nordiques back
• Derrick also digs into the history behind the Atlanta Flames, Thrashers, Nordiques, Coyotes, Jets, and Devils, using each example to challenge the logic of the NHL’s expansion thinking. Along the way, he connects the dots between ownership, fan support, media pressure, and the long-term reality of whether a hockey market can truly sustain a team.If you’ve ever wondered why some cities keep getting another shot while others get overlooked, this episode lays out the question the NHL seems unwilling to answer. Perfect for hockey fans, expansion watchers, and anyone who loves a strong sports debate with real history behind it.

A GTA 6 leak, a digital-media reality check, and a blunt question: is this really about consumer rights, or just a crypto grift? Derrick Lamon breaks down the Rockstar situation, the backlash over a non-physical release, and why the people making these games deserve more respect than the internet is giving them.He digs into the bigger picture behind Rockstar and Take-Two, including how massive game development actually is, why credits matter, and what gets lost when fans reduce studios to faceless corporations. Derrick also challenges the outrage over disc-free preorders by comparing it to the way music, movies, and games have already moved into licenses, downloads, and streaming.
