In the first segment, Dunlap and Yanez discuss what the UH football team needs to focus on in its upcoming matchup against Tulane. Defensive lineman D’Anthony Jones said the players are holding each other accountable to clean up the penalty mistakes.
Then in the second segment, the two hosts break down comments from women’s basketball head coach Ron Hughey as he talks about what he is focusing on for the 2022-23 season. The head coach said he feels like a lot of self-inflicted wounds hurt the Coogs last season and it is something they will be looking to clean up. The two hosts also react to Laila Blair’s season goal of becoming a better player off the ball and as a playmaker. She wants to be unguardable, she said.
Lastly, the two hosts discuss the men’s basketball team! Head coach Kelvin Sampson said rankings do not matter, no first-year player is ready to impact winning from the get-go. Sampson also said Marcus Sasser is the face of the program heading into 2022-23. Hear Marcus Sasser’s reaction to Sampson’s statement, and what he had to say about the team’s expectations in the new season. Lastly, hear what forward Jarace Walker said about his playing style.
