Sin & its result, death, entered the world through the disobedience of one man, Adam. All people since then have also sinned and died, except for one Man, a "new Adam," named Jesus. Though Jesus never sinned, nevertheless He died for the sins of all people. Yet He rose again from the dead "so that God's abundant provision of grace...might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ" (Rom. 5:17​, 21).

Three major world religions trace their origins to Abraham of Ur, surely fulfilling the name God gave him as "the father of many nations"(Genesis 17:5). For the Jewish people, Abraham is patriarch & progenitor, but as the Apostle Paul observed, all God's people are to follow in the footsteps of Abraham's FAITH, for it's his trust in God that makes Abraham a model for us to this day. Abraham is a father of faith.

Today we're also called to live reconciled to God’s righteousness and advancing as unashamed advocates of Christ’s Good News.

Though in the world we encounter many problems, none can overcome the purpose of God that we find in His faithful promises. Jesus came to testify to the truth of God's Good News (John 18:37) & He has enlisted us as His witnesses (Acts 1:8) to that truth which sets us free (John 8:32) to live according to the purpose and promise of all God's blessings (John 10:10). Whatever problems we're facing today, God has promised that no matter what comes, His PURPOSES will be fulfilled for all those who trust in Him (Romans 8:28). Come find your purpose in God's promise!
