We live in a world of problems, & problems often fill our lives, too. Following God's guidance brings peace but can create problems, too, in a world opposed to His ways. But when Jesus faced His pivotal crisis point of the Cross, He posed the question, "Should I ask God to get Me out of this, now that the hour has arrived for Me to face it? No, FOR THIS VERY PURPOSE I have come" (see John 12:27). Whatever we're facing today, God has a PURPOSE for us that includes our problems, His solutions, & His prophetic promise for a glorious future in Him.

Before Thanksgiving for a time of worship, prayer, and a scriptural  teaching on "A Thanksgiving Harvest" that celebrates the fruitfulness in  our lives (John 15:16) wrought by "God who works in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure" (Philippians 2:13, ESV).

God's people annually celebrated the harvest season in ancient Israel by rising together to the holy city on the mountain, Jerusalem. Like the bounty of the land gathered in from the fields, so the people of God were gathered in to the home of their faith. As we anticipate Thanksgiving, let's sing our thanks to God TODAY for all He has done, is doing, and will do, just as His people have done from of old. ​

And yet, Jeremiah 29:11 provides one of the most familiar & encouraging messages of hope in all of the Bible, as God assures His people of His great plans for them. Indeed, God holds a bright future for all who place their trust in Him.
