Join us for this episode where host Dr. Deanna Tzanetos (Norton Children's Hospital/U of Lousville) and guest Dr. Rick Fernandez (Nationwide Children's Hospital) discuss the findings of his abstract "Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Employing Only Abdominal Compressions in Infants after Cardiac Surgery" presented at the annual meeting in San Diego this past December. Dr. Fernandez shares his institutional experience with this novel approach to abdominal compressions during resuscitation of high-risk infants and how this modified CPR might serve as a unique alternative to traditional chest compressions.
