Deeply appreciative of both traveling and the absurdities of life, Amanda has found that nothing quite highlights the latter as copious amounts of the former. Tonight, she'll share a tale of (mis)adventure involving backpacking in Southeast Asia, an epic Lonely Planet fail, and one ... memorable ... bus ride. Amanda is a southern transplant from Florida happy to now call Portland - land of the best craft beers and swankiest dive bars - home sweet home. She is also fully aware of the split infinitive in the preceding sentence as she's a professional grammar girl.

Howard migrated from San Jose California to Trout Lake Washington, returned to California and came back to Washington. He has worked as a firefighter, carpenter, heavy equipment operator, and electrician. He will no doubt soon be exploring new boundaries.
