Jackie tells the story of growing up with her younger brother and becoming unexpectedly caught between grief and disbelief. Jackie has worked as a Library Director and now as a public school teacher as she works on a book of poetry called ‘The Earthmover's Daughter.'

Kara Hayes recently moved to Portland for graduate school and is thrilled to be a part of Portland Story Theater. She has been in several theatre and dance productions as well as poetry slams in San Diego. She dedicates her story tonight to her feet who took many steps to get here.
