He looks at Psalm 77:7-8 and examines our understanding of salvation and how it is possible to backslide in your faith. He talks about what it looks like to backslide and God's response when it happens.

This week we begin our sermon series "I Have a Question." Each week, Rev. Shannon will examine a question of faith and how God calls followers of Christ to respond. We begin by examining the question of evil. We've all wondered why there is evil in the world and how God could allow it to happen. Using Romans 1:18-23 as a guide, he looks at how evil came to exist, our contributions to evil, and how God calls us to respond.

It's the Fourth Sunday of Pentecost! Rev. Shannon looks at Galatians 6:7-10 and examines how our actions influence how we connect with faith and the movement of the church. He says we get out of faith and the church what we put into it, and our actions must match those found in Christ.

Today is the Third Sunday after Pentecost. This week, Rev. Shannon preaches from 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. He talks about how Paul calls the community to love as Christ loves them amid their divisions and strife. Followers of Christ are called to reflect the love of Christ in all things. Rev. Shannon walks through Paul's words and offers some practical ways in today's time of deep division on how we might love.

This week's sermon comes from 1 Kings 19:1-15a. It is the story of Elijah and his struggles with life and ministry following his victory at Mount Carmel over Ahab. Rev. Shannon Blosser leads us in thinking about moments when we've wanted to quit and what keeps us motivated in life and ministry.

Rev. Shannon is at the WVUMC annual conference this week but provides a devotion focused on Romans 5:1-5. In it, he talks about seeing the good in the midst of the difficult and on questions we need to ask moving forward.
