This week, Rev. Shannon Blosser looks at the story of David and Bathsheba in 2 Samuel 11. This story has often been viewed through the lens of adultery, however, Rev. Shannon looks at the encounter through the violation of David's role as king and his abuse of power. He also focuses on how we can misuse what God has given us by focusing on ourselves more than others.

Today's sermon continues our From Exclusion to Inclusion sermon series. Rev. Shannon Blosser looks at Luke 18:1-8 and the story of the corrupt judge and the persistent widow. In the sermon, he looks at how we can be like the judge and ignore the cries for justice from those on the margins of society. He says children of God are called to stand with the marginalized and ease their suffering.

Each October, Rev. Shannon looks at aspects of inclusion in the church. Today, he begins a series looking at moving from words of welcome to hearing and embracing people on the margins of society. This week's sermon comes from Luke 17:11-19 and looks at how Jesus embraces people on the margins with empathy and calls us to do the same.

It is World Communion Sunday! This week, Rev. Shannon looks at 1 Corinthians 11:17-26. Paul deals with concerns about how the Corinth community celebrated the Lord's Supper. Rev. Shannon uses the passage to focus on how communion is critical to our spiritual health and enables us to remember Christ's presence in our lives.

This week's sermon finishes our mini-look at the Book of Genesis. Our sermon takes a look at Joseph and his life. Rev. Shannon Blosser focuses on how God spoke to Joseph in difficult times. He says God often speaks to us the most when life is not going well to show us what God desires for us.

In this week's sermon, Rev. Shannon Blosser examines Genesis 12:1-9 and the call of Abram (later known as Abraham). He focuses on how God called Abram to leave what he depended upon and to trust God on a new journey of faith. The sermon looks at how God calls us, today, to let go of things that keep us from being fully dependent upon God.

Our sermon this week continues our look at the story of Noah and the ark. Rev. Shannon Blosser reflects on Genesis 9:1-17, which describes the scene after Noah leaves the flood and the conversation with God. The sermon examines how God decides to interact with humanity and creation moving forward and how God calls us to respond today.
