Today is the Second Sunday of Lent. Our sermon series "Blessed Are" continues with a look at Matthew 5:4-5. Rev. Shannon Blosser focuses on the nature of mourning and how it relates to the principle of meekness. He says that what we see in Christ is how we are called to respond to the injustices that face our time.

He talked about how being poor in spirit is about having a posture of humility for God and what that looks like for us today.

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Season of Lent. In today's sermon, Rev. Shannon Blosser focuses on Matthew 6:1-18. He focuses on our motives for entering the Lenten journey and how this is a season intended for spiritual renewal and growth.

This week is Transfiguration Sunday. Rev. Shannon Blosser looks at the story of Jesus' glory being revealed to Peter, James, and John through Matthew 17:1-13. He talks about his own experience with mental health challenges, how the church perpetuates stigmas, and what we can do to a light that shines for others in dark times.
