Today being Good Friday, the reflection is on the suffering of Jesus. I share a childhood memory that disturbs me to this day, but helps me connect to the suffering Jesus took on my behalf. You hear a reading from Isaiah 53, which contains amazing prophecy 700 years in advance of Jesus, the suffering Savior. You are encouraged to read the prophecy and reflect on how his blows are your path to healing. Beauty. It draws us to people and things. But what about things that are ugly? Isaiah 53 states that Jesus had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, that there was nothing in his appearance that we should desire him. Why does scripture say that? What is God trying to tell us? I give a few personal examples of what came to my mind; and then end the session inviting you to reflect in the beauty of God's presence! Blessings!

Have you ever eavesdropped on a conversation you were not supposed to hear? In this episode, I share a upsetting memory related to that. Then you are invited to enter a biblical scenario and eavesdrop as a servant in the palace of the high priest, during the moment Judas agreed to betray Jesus for 30 pieces of silver. You'll ponder Jesus' silence during betrayal and hear some scriptures calling for silence in His presence. 5 minutes of instrumentals end the time for you to worship Him in the reverent silence scripture calls for. Jesus promises peace. Today listen to the encouragement on how to wait "until he comes" for the peace He promises!

He says peace comes by faith AND by regularly remembering Him through communion. When is the last time you took communion? We are to participate in it with God's people 'until he comes". Did you know that communion is protective of health and strength, both physically and spiritually? This is a time to stay under the protective covering communion offers.

Keep pursuing God this holy week! Today is a soaking exercise, which is resting in Jesus' presence. John the apostle is our biblical example. At first known as a "son of thunder". But then radically different documenting himself as leaning against Jesus' chest at the last supper, a sign of intimate friendship and trust. That kind of change reveals a transformation from pride to surrender. At the last supper John goes further to refer to himself as "the one who Jesus loved". Not an obnoxious boast... a way he self-identified. You are meant to boldly identify in the same way. Your confidence to boldly proclaim his love for you will come spending time in His presence! So take this time to sit with Jesus, invite Him, and open yourself up to leaning back and resting in His presence. Blessings!

Today is Palm Sunday. Let's bless God! Today you will learn about a "berakah", a ancient form of prayer used by the Hebrews. You will be given some mental images behind the word bless to ponder. You might be surprised on the pictures the word bless contains. Be inspired by the shouts of the crowd when Jesus enters Jerusalem on Palm Sunday! Be challenged to position and bless God! Follow along and pray berakahs (blessings) to God! Then try them on your own! Receive prayer at the end!

Today being Saturday, let's focus on the comfort and rest the Good Shepherd promises. This episode prays you through Psalm 23 according to the deep spiritual meaning of each verse. Follow the Good Shepherd into the pleasant pastures of His precious promises!

The NY Times posted a frightening quote in an article today (4/3/20) from an economic historian about current speed of job losses and our economy entering unchartered waters due to the Coronavirus. Yet, by contrast, God promises to be with us and to bring us through those type of waters. Learn how God defines waters, come under His promises in prayer, follow along and receive prayer at the end! Do not be afraid, come into His presence for comfort and help!
