Peace is among our deepest human longings, and yet it is so easy for us to forget the first words of the resurrected Jesus to his disciples: “Peace be with you.” What wonder! Christ’s peace is already ours–not by our works, but by his wounds. And by sharing his peace with the world, we cast off all burdens of sorrow, division, and fear.
