Contemplative prayer meant to bring you to the heart of God in His presence. Less about words & requests & more about being still & knowing He is God. Find an anchoring sacred word or phrase like Jesus, Good Shepherd, Father, Friend, be still, or whatever God puts on your heart. Set aside time, I distracted, & continue to come back to your word or phrase when your mind drifts. Here, we will do 5 minutes together. You may find that 5 minutes seems like a very long time, or you may find it is not enough. Either way, try to make it a practice. Commit to it, 5 minutes for 5 days.
