Debbi met Jessi when Jessi was still living as a man, a trans man to be precise. It wasn’t what Debbi thought she wanted in a relationship, but there was something about Jessi that she couldn’t walk away from. Although Jessi had lived for over 2 decades as a man, all Debbi saw when she looked at her partner was the woman inside. The woman she loved. The woman she would support and encouraged to step back into the light. This might be a modern lesbian love story.

Back in the spring, I attended my local women’s march. It was after hearing that The Women’s March was being renamed The People’s March, in order to be more inclusive. I, like most women who care about women’s rights and the state of feminism, had heard my share of horror stories involving the infiltration of men and trans activism into women’s rights organizations. I decided that I should see for myself what attending one of these mainstream feminist events would be like. What follows is my experience that I documented at my local Women’s March.

Let’s talk about the word “queer”. Over the last decade, the “queer community” has been used instead of the “LGBT community”. Not everyone feels good about being called queer, myself included. “Queer” is said to be the more inclusive term to refer to lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans identified people. But is that true? And where does the lesbian woman fit into this new inclusive community? My special guest, AJ, and I sit down for a chat about the term “queer”. AJ is an Australian lesbian in her early 30s with a lot to say on the subject.

Having been a victim of witchhunting - fired from her job after 20 years - for her belief that women & lesbians exist and have rights, Ann is a big defender of free speech for everyone. She is opposed to all witchhunting whether against feminists or pro-Palestinian activists.

Ann is also committed to fighting the ideological enemies of feminism, whether coming from the far Right, from the Democrats (falsely seen as “the Left”) or from otherwise genuine progressives who have bought into the sexist & homophobic ideology of gender identity and have betrayed women.
