Air travellers continue to be plagued by long lineups, delays and airline flight cancellations as they go through Pearson International airport. An ex-NHL star posted a video to his socials earlier this week to vent about being stranded alongside other passengers as Air Canada cancelled his flight. We've heard other horror stories too like that of a Canadian wedding bride who was late to her own wedding in the States because of a flight delay. Even the Mayor of Toronto has weighed in to the issue calling it "unacceptable". So, what's happening? A lot of it has to do with ongoing COVID-19 measures still in place like screening and airport staffing shortages. But, at a time when air travel is reaching its peak season, shouldn't the government be doing a whole lot more to address the problem? And, what rights do passengers really have when treated like this? Finally, has all of this made travel no fun anymore?
