I love aviation, and Tempelhof Airport (IATA code: THF) plays a major part in that. As a kid I could watch the incoming planes from my room, and the turboprops would shake my windows on their final approach. After its closure in 2008 the airfield became the amazing space for public use known as the Tempelhofer Feld (Tempelhof Field). It’s also the only place in Berlin where you have a 360° view of the horizon, and one of the very few places in general where you can walk on a runway. I made the track and visuals to capture these vibes, and to celebrate this one of a kind Berlin treasure.

Thanks to all the high flyers, gliders, skaters and riders for showing their skills on The Field. Extra thanks to the half-pipe & park skaters, roller-blader Henry and the Belgian polo biker for giving me their allowance to film.

I made the animations & VFX in Blender. Editing, grading, compositing & mastering were done with Resolve. I used a variety of soft-instruments for the track, except for the guitar, bass, speech and turntable parts, which I first live-recorded myself and then brought into shape in Reaper.

Gen “AI“ was neither used nor needed in the creation of any of this. The usage of any part of this creation for any kind of machine learning, training, feeding, etc. is 100% NOT ALLOWED. If you are a human creative and want to use it, please contact me.
