You can rename a channel, but can't change the handle, so here we are. Deleting and recreating the entire channel just to properly change it to a dumber name. Just wanted to post this quick video to notify the single subscriber that the stuff that'd be posted here will now be posted on Joel's Junk. Good thing Joel Kalich Inc. doesn't have an HR department.
Happy Monday, let's see what surprised the mail holds this time.

This isn't the only way to do it.
A very cool and unique calculator that as far as I know suffers no age-related issues.
A very nice surprise was waiting for me at school. I've wanted a LaserJet 4 for years, so I'm really happy to have come across this. Given the affordability of replacement parts, I fully intend to restore this printer to perfect working condition. Speaking of which, I ought to give my dormant LaserJet 4P some love, too.
I happened to find some stuff at school that was free for the taking. Lets see what I picked up.
The final video on this computer for now. Here we figure out how to network the 7300 to my iMac to transfer files over Ethernet (quite tricky to set up until you learn how), and use this connection to install the Mac OS 9.1 update.
A Lighting Gallery member and fellow Maritimer sent me some awesome stuff. Lets see what it is.
The first installment of what will undoubtedly be a long and fun series detailing all of the computers I saved from the e-waste pile. This machine has some really cool hardware inside it, and an interesting history, as well.
This is just an introduction for now. There will be subsequent videos about this computer to come.
It's finally here. Sorry it took so long.
This is everything I took from the e-waste pile when it closed on April 9. Most of the things are ready for their own videos, so they will be coming in the near future. I'm really excited and hope you are too - this stuff will be incredibly fun to play around with and learn about. bla
