Ryan sent me some awesome stuff in return for a package of cell phones I sent him. Lets see what I got.
Check out Ryan's videos:
Update: It turns out the organizer was acting so sick because I didn't properly initialize it by inserting the backup battery and resetting it. Upon doing do, it works just fine. That leaves the display - I've had the unit apart, and I can't find the problem, so I will leave it as is. A video of it will be made.
We know this thing works, now lets wipe it clean and give it a fresh installation of the last generation of the classic Mac OS.
An in-depth look of my first smartphone. I go into what I like regarding the hardware, software, and design of this phone, as well as some things I don't like as much.
If you're not one of my usual viewers, note that you may wish to look elsewhere for a review of this phone. I have no other experience with smartphones to compare this to, so I don't go into more superficial things like CPU/graphics power, screen resolution, and the like.
This is by far the best e-waste box find and one of the best vintage computer finds I've had so far. Lets take a quick look at this thing and see if it at least turns on.
Tried a couple of alternative frying methods this time. Reducing voltage to the Fulham Workhorse 2 works really well - I'm definitely going to do that when I fry CFL lamps, which the Fulham overdrives.
Now that I have some cables and a mouse, lets see if this computer I got for free works.
The outro is something new I'd like to test out. If you haven't noticed, I retired my watermark a couple of months ago. It served its purpose years ago when stolen videos were a big problem on YouTube, but now it's tired and gimmicky. This outro not only allows some sort of identification to be placed on the video, but it also promotes and links to other videos that viewers might not have seen and be interested in. If you like it, or hate it, let me know!
I went back to the e-waste box for the purpose of finding the power supply for that USB hard drive, and I came back with more than I could have ever imagined.
