  • Fotky a depky - říjen 2026
Využil jsem podzimní sluneční paprsky k projížďkám a dokončení filmu ve foťáku. Ranními mlhami jsem jen prosvištěl...
    Enjoy!

  • New Native Hydrology Tools in QGIS 4.4

QGIS 4.4 comes with native hydrology tools in the Processing Toolbox: no SAGA, GRASS or other plugins needed. In this tutorial I show the complete workflow from a DEM to a delineated and nicely styled catchment, using the Rur catchment as an example.

    You'll learn how to:

    • Fill sinks in a DEM with the native Wang & Liu algorithm
    • Calculate flow direction and visualise it with arrows, also in 3D
    • Calculate Strahler stream order from a DEM and flow direction
    • Extract the channel network and drainage basins, and style channels by stream order
    • Delineate a catchment with the new Upslope Area (From Point) tool, which supports several flow routing methods
    • Convert the catchment to a polygon and style it with inverted polygons and a shapeburst fill

These tools were made possible by a crowdfunding campaign. A big thank you to all donors! The tools were developed by North Road and Lutra Consulting.
