Hungary and the European Union are once again at loggerheads over asylum rules and the European Union’s decision to sanction a Russian oil company. This has resulted in a reduction of oil imports into Hungary and Slovakia despite each country having a European Union waiver to buy oil from Russia via pipelines that run through Ukraine.
