A PROSPEROUS MIND
“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things.” Philippians 4:8
The mind is a garden that needs weeding, pruning, and training.
We must select the focus of our thoughts, especially in the morning.
“Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me – put it into practice. And the God of peace (prosperity) will be with you.” Philippians 4:9
1. WHATEVER IS TRUE
If it’s fake news, delete. Think true thoughts.
2. WHATEVER IS NOBLE
If it’s self seeking, stop. Think selfless noble thoughts.
3. WHATEVER IS RIGHT
If it’s crooked, drop it. Think only of right actions.
4. WHATEVER IS PURE
If it’s dark sex, turn on the light. Overwhelm lust with purity.
5. WHATEVER IS PLEASING
What attitudes will make more friends for you today? (The Greek word is literally “toward brotherhood.”)
6. WHATEVER IS ADMIRABLE
What good rumor can I dwell on?
(The Greek word is “good rumor or report” from people of good judgement.)
7. WHATEVER IS EXCELLENT
People of strength who draw greater strength from you. (The Greek word is “manly valor/exploits.)
8. WHATEVER IS PRAISEWORTHY
If it causes you to grumble and feel God is unable to contend with it drop it. If it reminds you of the power of God dwell on it.
"Think on these things." The Greek word is “to reckon.” Think deeply to a solid conclusion.
Change your mind to this thought: God is a God of prosperity he will prosper me in peace.
