MY BROTHER IS HOME! Episode 7 see's Joe Tanner hop on the microphone with me to talk teaching and his two year stint out in China during the pandemic. In part 1 we talk his return settling in at home, what inspired him to become a teacher and the culture shock of his first teaching role in Luton coming from suburban Guiseley...

In this final part of what has been a very honest episode James goes into detail of the wrongs he experienced as an athlete with his sporting federation as well as dealing with and responding to online trolls. I also ask whether there is a lack of "culturally awareness" between heads of sporting bodies and the athletes who represent said sport and I ask whether he will look back upon his time as an athlete with fondness and happy memories. 

Part 2 begins with listing the injury list James sustained after the motorbike crash he was involved in during warm weather training. We Discuss in length the rehab journey, his mindset of such getting himself back on his feet. I ask whether there are any bad feelings toward the reflections people will have on his career and we talk about the realities of leaving the athletics world...
