In Mark 11:12-26 we read that Jesus was hungry and he came up to a fig tree to get something to eat. When he discovered the fig tree had no fruit, Jesus cursed it and immediately the fruitless fig tree withered at the roots! One key takeaway from this passage of Scripture is this: when Jesus returns, and we stand before him on Judgment Day, we don't want to be fruitless. In this message we examine three types of fruit Jesus is looking for in our lives: 1.) The Fruit of Repentance (Matthew 3:7-10), 2.) The Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:16-26), and 3.) The Fruit of Faith (Luke 18:1-8). As Leonard Ravenhill says, "This life is a dressing room for eternity - that's all it is!" May we abide in Jesus and allow his Word to abide in us, so that we - his disciples - may bear much, lasting fruit and thereby glorify our Father in heaven (John 15:1-8)! "Oh Lord, teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom" (Psalm 90:12), and invest our lives in bearing lasting fruit for Christ! (Originally uploaded on November 1, 2021)
