The American people want an end to homelessness

The demands of the homeless and the whole of our class for the absolute right to housing and all else we need, not just to survive but to thrive, is in reality a cry for the overturning of the profit-driven system of private ownership, and for a society of sharing controlled by the people. This is the ultimate demand of the struggle for homeless rights, and everyone’s basic rights, and its logical outcome.

Government Must Guarantee Our Basic Needs

The question is: “Why does anyone have the “right” to privately own our natural resources?” If the corporations cannot provide for our needs, then we must demand that government will. The demand that government provides health care, housing, education and water and guarantees them for the people is nationalization—or government takeover of the corporations—in the people’s interests. These demands are a bridge to a new society where the abundance produced is distributed to all based on need.

The Elections - How do we end Corporate Rule?

Democratic and Republican parties are the twin parties of the corporations. They will tow the corporate line. The significance of this election lies in the unprecedented nature of our times, and that a section of the working class has taken a step toward declaring its political independence of the ruling class parties. The effort to push this independence forward must continue now and after the election. Revolutionaries can advance this process by putting forward the demand that the government guarantee the basic needs of the people.

Water for Life, not for Profit

Cities that lost jobs slipped into crisis as their tax bases dwindled. In Michigan the corporations have been moving to restructure these cities, including Flint. In this effort to restructure cities, Michigan's Governor Snyder has institute a system of emergency management which eliminates democracy, and guarantee profits for corporations he represents. It was the appointed emergency manager of Flint who switched the city’s water supply to a polluted river water to “save money.”

We must demand that the government guarantee food, clothing, housing, healthcare and safe water for all in our country who need it. The only solution is a cooperative society where the needs of all the people are met.

Cost of Higher Education

Labor-replacing electronic technology is permanently eliminating jobs and destroying the foundation of the capitalist system. The result is less labor needed for production.

Fewer highly educated workers are needed to support robotic technology. As the jobs go, education as a birthright is being taken away. We are becoming a dispossessed group of the working class that capitalism no longer has any use. We need a vision of a new education system where everyone has the right to a quality education.

We must demand that the government provide equal funds for every student.

An Education denied because of the inability to pay robs us all of away to maximize our efforts, our abilities and our contributions to the future of our planet.

Water Wars - Detroit Homrich 9 Trial

Threat to democracy and jury system in water trial.

The United Nations contends that water is a human right (UN Resolution 62/242)

Providing water that is poisonous as in Flint Mi, denying water to families and children as in Detroit or jailing leaders, like Rev. Pinkney who fought corporate control of his community in Benton Harbor, these are just a signs of a system in decay.

A system based on the private property of the billionaire class who holds political power.

The only solution is a cooperative society where the needs of all the people are met.

The public view of police brutality is challenging the way police do their business. Video from phones and Twitter continue to expose police brutality. The rulers still have the power. The public is trapped between capitalism, drug gangsters whose gunfights kill every day, and police brutality. The murder rate, mainly of Black men, has risen to the highest in 40 years.
