In 1 John 3, 4, & 5, John reminds us the importance of surrendering all to Jesus and humbly walk forward in His freedom. The perfect love of Jesus drivers out fear. His love for us is perfect and He has all authority. If the Lord God Almighty, who has all power and authority, is for us - we have nothing to fear in this temporary world. Jesus is holding us, now and for all eternity. We have victory if we are abiding in Jesus. The victory that conquers the world is faith. Set your mind on the promises of God, surrender all to Him, and abide in Him. Victory comes in and through Christ Jesus.

In 1 John 1 & 2, John encourages us to get back to the basics of faith and walk in the truth of God's perfect love. God is light and in Him there is absolutely no darkness. Anyone who repents and confesses their sins to Jesus, surrendering all to Him, will receive the forgiveness and cleansing that Jesus poured out on the cross for all of us. When we do, Jesus begins a work of restoration within us. He sanctifies us as we pursue Him desperately and draw closer and closer to Him. We need to listen to His Spirit within us guiding us, and humble ourselves to repent and forgive. Trust His lead and trust Him for every outcome.

In 2 Peter 1, 2, & 3, Peter continues to encourage us regarding how to live in the New Covenant of Jesus by faith in Him. The powerful grace of God doesn't allow us to sin, it prevents us from sinning. If we do fail and fall to sin, we repent quickly - get back up - and keep running forward because His powerful grace has us covered. We can receive and rest in God's abundant promises. His Holy Spirit will guide us, His love for us never ends and never fails, and He will guide us home to our eternity with Him. We need to cling to Jesus with all our guts and not be deceived by false teachers. Stand firm in faith and do not be deceived by the lies of the enemy. We need to know the Word of God so we know the God of the Word. Jesus is returning, sooner today than yesterday, and we need to live every day ready and aware.

In 1 Peter 3, 4, & 5, Peter encourages us to stand firm on the living hope of Jesus. As you walk with Jesus and abide in Him, spiritual fruit will naturally grow from and out of your life because it is His nature within you now. The condition of our hearts is more important than anything. As you walk confidently in who you are in Jesus, people will be drawn to His love within you. God gives us grace as we walk with humility in surrender to Him. Peter emphasized the importance of being laser focused on Jesus in all areas of life because He is returning in a flash - sooner today than yesterday.

In 1 Peter 1 & 2, Peter addresses suffering and encourages us to stand firm in this temporary world. Even in the midst of despair, Peter encourages us to praise the Lord and trust Him for every outcome. He is our eternal Living Hope and His mercies are fresh every morning. Stay laser focused on Jesus. Even in pain, praise His glorious Name. Greater is He Who is in you, than he who is in this world. Reflect on God's gifts and blessings, despite troubling circumstances. Jesus will encourage us, strengthen us, comfort us, carry us, and is here with us in every moment. He is our eternal Cornerstone and we can stand on Him, our Firm Foundation, now - and for all eternity.

In James 3, 4, & 5, James cautions us as to what it looks like to live a life in full surrender to Jesus. We need to ask the Lord for help. He will empower us with His grace and power as we abide in Him, rest in Him, and walk with Him. The more time we spend in His Word, soaking up His truth into our hearts, the more He will empower us with self-control. We are not to judge others. We have never been in their shoes and don't know what they are going through. God does. That is why He is the only Judge and the rightful Judge. Everyone has a story God is working through them. Offer prayer and kindness and show others the love Jesus has shown us. The Lord hears every prayer and prayer is powerful.

In James 1 & 2, we learn that trials and suffering are a part of life. Trials produce endurance and strengthen our faith. It's a joy to walk through trials knowing God is using it for our eternal good and the further spreading of His testimony - His Kingdom expansion. God is with us in every step and every exhale. He will carry us through the trials and suffering we go through. He will lift us up. He is our Rock. He will provide everything we need. Ask Him. Seek Him. We don't have to have it all together, God does. We rely on Him. He will anchor us through every storm. He sees the hard places and knows what we need. It's up to us to reach up and ask. Walk obediently every day in active faith and trust the Lord with every outcome.

In Hebrews 11, 12, & 13, we learn what true faith is and looks like. Faith does not just believe Jesus is the Son of God, it responds obediently to His voice as you continue to draw near to Him. Faith requires you to trust God for every outcome, release control, and surrender all to Him. Without faith, it is impossible to please God. Faith is knowing you are walking on a solid, unshakable Rock. God's love is a consuming fire and He will light up your life. Just keep pressing on, running toward His love. Praise the Lord every day and through every storm and pursue Jesus desperately. It is eternally worth it.

In Hebrews 9 & 10, the life-saving and much better New Covenant, that can only be entered into by surrendering to Jesus, is emphasized. Through Jesus, we receive redemption, restoration, and the cleansing complete salvation from sin that only Jesus offers. He died for the sins of the world once and for all - it is finished. It's not about us or anything we do, it's all about Jesus and everything He has done. We can choose to draw near to the heart of God and live freely in His love. Jesus' death on the Cross tore the veil in the Temple, allowing us access to His grace, His mercies, His love, and His presence. Jesus is all we need, and we all need Him desperately.

In Hebrews 7 & 8, it is emphasized that Jesus is the guarantee of a better Covenant, a better hope, and a better priesthood. He is better than the law. He fulfilled all of it. He came as the eternal sacrifice for the sins of the world. When He died for our sins, the veil separating humankind from the presence of God was completely split in two. We are now allowed full access to Jesus, our eternal High Priest. Jesus will always save those who repent and surrender to Him as their Lord and Savior. Jesus intercedes for us always and forever - guaranteed. He is holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sin, and exalted high above the heaves. He died so we could be set free from sin. We can draw near to Jesus - pursue Him with all of your guts, and rest peacefully in His eternal glory.
