I once heard a comedian say, “Writing a set is similar to building a playground.”

The writing and prep, that’s where the real work happens. Once you walk on stage, your only job is to embrace the play and have as much fun as possible. 

It changed the way I view my job as a bassist and music director but last night, eating at one of my favorite restaurants (Tenant) with Sarah, I realized it might need to start changing the way I GO to concerts from now on too.
