Free nursery rhyme

hello gorgeous tale tellers welcome to tell teller kids now i'm just going to tell you a little bit about the uh the facility that we have here on the podcast show now we're a performance arts broadcast channel and what that means is everything to do with stories storytelling music and musicianship playing listening acting dancing singing all of these things all rolled in together and i'll be sharing with you over the coming months and years hopefully all of the things that i do at the performing arts school now i'm a teacher i teach cello and piano but i'm cutting those back a little because it takes a very very long time to fit everybody in who i'm teaching we're going to do one or two music lessons each day but the biggest thing that we're doing here at the performing arts project is storytelling and that's why we're called tale teller kids of course but what i'm going to do is i'm going to start reciting lots and lots of wonderful stories and just putting in a little bit of live music while i do it and this makes things really really exciting and we can really get in the mood so if we play something happy in the background of a happy story our spirits can be uplifted but if we're if we're playing something you know if we're playing a rather solemn story or a sad story we wouldn't want to play a comedy music track behind us so that's what we're going to do here we're also uploading lots and lots of free tracks that you can play upload download share move around the internet and they are recited by our colleagues over at librivox and there are a lot of hours of wonderful wonderful stories you don't have to necessarily look for new ones when we have such a magnificent archive of literature children's literature from all over the world so i'm going to be sharing lots more of that as well and that that vast catalogue of wonderful things and then we're also going to be hopefully introducing some of you guys who are going to send me some things stories that they've told it'd be lovely to share that on the podcast or perhaps songs that you've sung or versions of stories that you've recited yourself all of these things so this is really just a big welcome from me and to say that the tale teller kids club is very very very happy that you are part of this wonderful wonderful podcast

What is the moral of this story?
hello everybody i'm going to read a pantatantra story the tortoise and the geese

once there was a tortoise and two geese that lived in a pond all three of them were great friends and they had lived happily for many years sharing joyous things then a drought struck the land all the rivers and tanks started drying up people and animals were dying it was very sad it was also very scary the geese decided to leave the country and fly away to some other place their friends had told them of a place which had plenty of water and food and was lush and green

they met with the tortoise to bid him farewell but the tortoise begged them not to leave him alone

the geese said dear friend we do not want to leave you behind in your hour of need but unlike you we cannot sustain without food and water for very long our friends have told us of another place a place that's rich and wet and green with plenty of food and water if you could fly you could come with us too but alas the tortoise could not fly

he kept begging the geese to take him along finally the geese relented they told the tortoise you have very strong jaws we have thought of a plan but it has high risks involved you will have to do exactly what we tell you if you fail to follow our instructions you will die the tortoise agreed they got a stick the geese held the ends of the stick with their beaks the tortoise would hold onto the middle of the stick the only condition was that the tortoise could not speak or it would fall from the stick to an instant death because you can't speak without opening your mouth

the tortoise thought this was plant this was a very dangerous plan but did not want to be left behind he promised to remain silent during the flight

the geese flew up carrying the tortoise with them they flew over the hills and the fields of the village as they flew over the people clapped and shouted look how wonderful the geese are carrying the tortoise maybe they have captured the poor animal the tortoise did not like the pointing and staring and was unable to control himself and he burst out what are these fools as he spoke these words he lost hold of the stick and fell from the great height all the way down to the ground with a big splat and he was dead now what do you think the moral of that story is well i would say don't worry about what people are saying and if they're pointing ignore them until you know better i'll be back later with some more i really like these stories

A lovely little story from our world book series I will be uploading a few today as they are so nice to read.

I am reciting a few of these today, a real pleasure to feature some world stories for my little ones.
