PerforMotion welcomes aboard Alex Cremins, our newest performance & nutrition coach.
Alex has an extensive background with coaching, being the head coach of the Irish Junior Worlds team and has had a roster of lifters who have won both national and international titles 🌎. He is also a phenomenal athlete, having competed at the world level multiple times himself.
In this episode, Alex covers his journey into powerlifting with Steve and Kelly - how he started, his road to becoming a coach and his decision to join PerforMotion.
Alex, Steve and Kelly share their approach to competition day performance, especially with the aspect of nutrition. They share stories of weight cutting, the importance of setting goals that are realistic and discuss when it's time to change weight classes. They discuss what makes a good athlete when it comes to nutrition, the conversations that are needed to foster performance and what to expect when it comes to performance & nutrition coaching.
