This weeks podcast is slightly off topic. DESPITE this being a personal finance podcast im going to be talking about public speaking. Or in my case – the fear of public speaking.

Why ? and how does this relate to finance?

Personally, I feel communication is very important. And if you were a confident speaker – this could well lead to improving your personal finances. For example, property is my main strategy to get financial independence. If I can improve my communication skills, this may well lead to investors due to improved networking skills. With more investors, I will be able to grow DUFF PROPERTIES quicker … and this will improve my personal finances … you get the point.

It might seem a million miles away. But you need to be aware of what you will get from your state pension.

According to Which, the new state pension is worth £175.20 a week (or £9,110.40 a year). This is the figure for 2021.

The rules (as you would expect) are complicated. What you are entitled to depends on your National Insurance contributions and other factors. For more information on your state pension google which.co.uk and put a dash and then put state pension. Or you can go straight to gov.uk.
