Drew and Jon React to "Strength Training Will Save The Physical Therapy Profession".
Drew and Jon rate this article 2 out of 5 ⭐⭐
"Tissue tolerance" is often talked about in physical therapy circles (and in this article), but what does "tissue tolerance" mean? Does it mean less pain? Does it mean greater ranges of motion? Is it a byproduct of being stuck in a relationship with insurance companies?
There was mention (towards the end of the article) about the importance of improving motor patterns for long term health, and in Drew and Jon's experience, improving motor patterns is (a) easily measurable and (b) may contribute to decreased joint pain.

Drew and Jon react to "Sprint Training for Distance Runners" published on Runners Connect.
Drew and Jon rate this article 3 out of 5 ⭐⭐⭐
Drew and Jon disagree with the science of the article but agreed with the exercise prescription. Sprint training should be short bouts (generally less than 60 seconds) with full recovery (as much as 5 minutes) . An often overlooked byproduct of sprint training is that sprinting IMPROVES resilience to overuse trauma, which allows the runner to increase their mileage.
