Today on Perry and Shawna Mornings, blogger and speaker Steve Norman joins the team with a conversation about our Savior who is near, who is vulnerable, and who is powerful. First Steve shares that the nearness and intimacy of Jesus has been his hope this year with the pandemic, but also an unexpected job loss which brought with it the question: “Lord did I really hear from you about taking this new position?”
Then we have a conversation about the loss of Perry’s mom this week and how the gospel brings us extraordinary hope in facing humanity’s greatest enemy. Next Steve shares that of all the ways the King of the universe came into the world, he chose to come in a way that wouldn’t intimidate us. He came in a way that would disarm us and soften us and invite us to draw near!
Then we have a conversation about the power of Jesus—He rescued us by his power from sin and death and hell to give us a purpose—to shine like stars in the universe! Then we have a conversation about what it means that we are called “saints in light.” Finally, Perry tries to play the role of Yoda and give Steve some advice about this uncertain time in his life. : ) Please share today’s show if you’re encouraged by it!
