Dean Garnett is a pro MMA fighter (9-2-1) from Liverpool who featured in a BBC Three documentary on weight cutting before a fight in 2017.

He is also a qualified coach, and founded Aspire MMA gym in Liverpool alongside his business partner.

This week we spoke to Clemens Wangerin, who has been part of the games industry since 1993. After moving to Liverpool in 1997 to work at local company Psygnosis, he became Studio Director when it merged with Sony Computer Entertainment.

Since then has been involved in several technology start-ups in the city. He is currently Managing Director of vTime, an innovation company focusing on Virtual Reality based in the Baltic Creative hub.

He is an industry expert in games, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and mobile with a track record of leading exciting start ups, new markets and raising investment.

It was a fascinating chat with someone who helped put Liverpool on the global gaming map.

We chatted with Billy Moore, whose autobiographical account of imprisonment in a Thai jail, 'A Prayer Before Dawn', was turned into a 2017 Hollywood film starring Joe Cole.

Billy told us how a tough upbringing in Liverpool led to addiction and crime before he moved to Bangkok for a clean break only to fall foul of the law again.

He eventually won his release by competing in prison Thai Boxing matches, and along the way witnessed murder, corruption and even briefly converted to Islam.

It was a brutally raw and honest conversation with someone who has a very powerful story to tell. Enjoy!
